Azerbaijani dancers to join int'l event in Georgia

Azerbaijan Dance Association will once again join the 7th International Dance Olympiad in Georgia scheduled for May 16-17, Trend Life reports.
More than 200 dancers from 7 countries will compete in the Olympiad. The major event would be devoted to the International Day of Sport for Development and Peace marked on April 6.
The event program includes the dance competitions in the categories of the modern, pop, folk dances, Cheerleading Championship , as well as Caucasus Cup of Hip Hop and "GEORGIAN OPEN 2016", the first international tournament in wheel chairs.
Organization support has been provided by the Ministry of Sport and Youth Affairs of Georgia, Tbilisi City Hall, World Art & Dance Alliance (WADA), International Dance Organization (IDO), International Cheer Union (ICU), Georgian Modern and Pop Dance Federation.
Previously, the Azerbaijani team successfully performed at International Dance Olympiad in 2013 and 2015.
The members of Azerbaijani dancing team performed in the categories of 'Modern' and 'Couple Show Dance'.
The winners in the 'Modern' category were Alina Kryuchkova (first place, Azerbaijan), Kamala Aliyeva (second place, Azerbaijan) and Lala Dzumshudli (third place, Azerbaijan) while the winners of the first place in the category of 'Couple Show Dance' were Mithat Ahmedov and Kamilla Ismailova.
