YARAT to present experimental video program

YARAT Contemporary Art Space invites all art enthusiast to take part in an experimental video program, comprising of works by Azerbaijani and foreign artists, on December 6.

The works displayed at the National Art Museum will include videos created as part of the ARTIM project, directed by artist and curator Sabina Shikhlinskaya, as well as videos created during a workshop by renowned French video artist Robert Cahen.

A special addition to the program is provided by film director and video artist Zamir Suleymanov whose previous works have received numerous international awards.

The showing that will start at 6 p.m. will include works by participants of the ARTIM project (museum 2014. invasion) under the guidance of curator and artist Sabina Shikhlinskaya, created by Sabina Abbasova, Farhad Hagverdi, Parvana Persiani, Veronika Isayeva, Natavan Aliyeva, Aykhan Khalilov, Narmin Israfilova, Aykhan Khalilov, Elvin Adigozal, and Aysel Naghiyeva.

Works by participants of the workshop under the guidance of famous French videographer and composer Robert Cahen were created by Chinara Majidova, Andrew Nairn, Tamuna Chaduneli, Yana Malysheva, Aydan Mirzayeva, Vusal Rahim, Vicente Plaza González, Ulviya Hasanova, Fatima Huseynzada, Ilaha Khalygova, and Nazrin Musayeva.

The evening program will also present experimental video projects by Zamir Suleymanov, Azerbaijani director and photographer, winner of the Start 2012 Festival Award (London): ‘The Garden’, ‘AN’, ‘All vehicles carry petrol’, ‘Aghri daghi’.

The entrance is free.
