Azerbaijan's capital city Baku has hosted a spectacular gala concert entitled "Fly Up" by Korean artists.
The event was co-organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Korea to Azerbaijan, the Korea Foundation, and the SEBA (Seoul-Baku) Azerbaijan-Korean Cultural Exchange Association on 30 September.
The concert featured Korea's finest hip-hop dancers and Korean traditional music. Twenty four performers came to Baku for the non-verbal narrative of Richard Bach's "Jonathan Livingston Seagull" through modern hip-hop dancing.
The audience greatly enjoyed the performance of the world-renewed hip-hop groups "Animation Crew", "Gamblers Crew" and famous traditional synthesis music group of women "Season of Soul". During the concert, the performers performed the traditional and contemporary Korean music.
Nearly one thousand people came together in historical theater of Baku to enjoy the Korean concert. It served as a great opportunity to further consolidate the friendly relationship between Korea and Azerbaijan.
The concert was held as a part of the joint efforts between the Korean Embassy and the SEBA (Seoul-Baku) Azerbaijan-Korean Cultural Exchange Association to strengthen the cultural exchange between Korea and Azerbaijan.
Since the establishment of diplomatic relations in 1992, Korea and Azerbaijan have forged strong ties in various fields such as politics, economy, culture and education on the basis of the mutual trust.
