Monaco Prince Albert II visits Azerbaijani hall at Venice Biennale

The reigning Prince Albert II of Monaco familiarized himself with Azerbaijan's exhibition hall set up by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation at the 55th Venice Biennale, the foundation said.
The Azerbaijani exhibition hall "Ornaments"', which is located in the XIV century Lezze Palace in Campo Santo Stefano, was opened on June 1 and will run until November 24.
The exhibition hall presents Azerbaijani national cultural heritage through the six pieces of art by contemporary artists Rashad Alekperov, Fakhriyya Mammadova, Chingiz, Sanan Alesgerov, Bunutay Hagverdiyev and Farid Rasulov.
Different expositions of Azerbaijan, which has participated in the Venice Biennale since 2007, are of interest for the visitors each time.
The current exhibition hall of Azerbaijan has entered the top five exhibition halls of 88 participating countries.
Prince Albert II underlined that the exhibition hall has produced a big impression upon him in terms of the history and cultural heritage of Azerbaijan.
According to him, such exhibitions play an important role in promoting the country.
Prince Albert II visited only Azerbaijan's exhibition hall of all national pavilions. He said that the "Ornament" installation, which is made of wooden planks, emphasizing the identity and uniqueness of different nations' cultures by using the language of symbols of the East and West, greatly impresses visitors.
He stressed that along with ancient history, Azerbaijan's contemporary art has been recognized in the world.
According to the prince, such projects are very important for greater convergence of different peoples.
Albert II said he is also interested in carrying out in Monaco such projects, which promote the Azerbaijani culture.
