Prominent Azeri film director decorated by Serbian president
The president of Serbia, Tomislav Nikolic, has given the Flag Order to prominent Azerbaijani film director Vaqif Mustafayev, state news agency AzerTag reported.
Mustafayev was decorated for his contribution to the development of cultural ties between the two countries.
Vagif Mustafayev is one of Azerbaijan's leading film producers. He is a member of the European Academy of Film and Television, the first vice-president of the Eurasian Academy of Television and Radio and secretary of the Union of Film Directors of Azerbaijan.
Mustafayev served as a deputy Azerbaijani culture minister between 2001 and 2006. He is currently heading the Baku-based private television and radio company Space.
