Azerbaijani dancers to join int'l festival in Turkey

Azerbaijani dancers will take part in the 32rd International Folk
Dance Festival to be held in Turkey's Samsun city on Aug. 13-22,
the Culture and Tourism Department of Baku reported on Aug. 7.
Azerbaijani dancers will perform folk dances at the
festival.
The festival brings together 600 dancers from 20 countries,
including Azerbaijan, Russia, Bulgaria, Greece, Kazakhstan,
Kyrgyzstan, Indonesia and others.
The International Samsun Folk Dance Festival is the biggest
festival all around the world. This Festival meets the nation and
helps the World Peace. The peculiarity of the this festival is that
it includes only Folk Dance, not like concert or the other
activity.
The festival, which is traditionally held on July 17 to 20
annually, was postponed this year due to the Ramadan.
According to the head of Cultural and Social Affairs Department of
Samsun Municipality Necmi Camash, this year's festival will be held
in the open area, in Republic Square for the first time.
"Furthermore, the dancers will perform street demonstrations at
every point of the city. Citizens will watch performances freely at
19:00 at the Republic Square every evening," he said.
Kazakhstan`s famous drum player will give a concert after the end
of festival march.
