An 11-year-old young vocalist, Ibrahim Nasrullayev, represented Azerbaijan at the World Championships of Performing Arts 2013 in Hollywood.
Worldstars magazine published an interview with Ibrahim, who said that apart from singing, he also dreams of becoming a movie star.
"Participating in this championship is already a success. If I am fortunate, I will become a Hollywood star some day. And I will try my best to achieve this," Ibrahim told the magazine.
Ibrahim, who attends Children's art school 3 under the Baku Department of Culture and Tourism, thanked all those who supported him in his creative endeavors, noting that the country's leadership provides all opportunities to represent Azerbaijan in various spheres of culture.
The World Championships of Performing Arts is the only
international performing arts talent competition and educational
experience of its kind held annually in Hollywood, an entertainment
capital of the world. Treasured bronze, silver and gold medals are
awarded to world champions in dancing, singing, acting, modeling,
instrumentals, and variety arts in the junior age categories (15
and less) and seniors (16 and older), solos and groups. In
addition, a total of over $130,000 in scholarships is presented by
the famed Millennium Dance Complex in North Hollywood, California
and the prestigious New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts School
of Film and Television.
Each year, countries send their best and most outstanding talent to
the United States. Over the course of a heated week of events,
these competitors go head to head "Olympic-style" in a wide variety
of competitions. In each category there is a fierce contest of
skills to see who is truly the most accomplished in the world. Each
winner gets a coveted gold medal which brings with it the respect
and admiration of people around the world along with potentially a
career opportunity of a lifetime. The incredible strength of
national pride pushes each and every one of these competitors to
give their best.
Contestants competing at the World Championships of Performing Arts have that very precious opportunity of performing before and networking with entertainment industry professionals.
