Azerbaijani dancers successful at int'l event in Georgia

A dancing team of Azerbaijan under the auspices of the country's Modern and Social Dance Association successfully performed at the fourth International Dance Olympiad in neighboring Georgia.
The Azerbaijani team visited the Georgian capital Tbilisi upon the invitation of the President of Georgian Modern and Pop Dance Federation Valentina Kuzmidi.
The members of Azerbaijani dancing team performed in the categories of 'Modern' and 'Couple Show Dance'.
The winners in the 'Modern' category were Alina Kryuchkova (first place, Azerbaijan), Kamala Aliyeva (second place, Azerbaijan) and Lala Dzumshudli (third place, Azerbaijan) while the winners of the first place in the category of 'Couple Show Dance' were Mithat Ahmedov and Kamilla Ismailova.
"I am proud that our dancers once again raised the flag of Azerbaijan," President of the Modern and Social Dance Association Aziz Azizov said, adding that Azerbaijan was represented by five dancers and all of them were awarded medals.
According to Azizov, the Association will soon host the Azerbaijan championship and participate in the World Olympiad in Moscow and other international contests.Here we are to serve you with news right now. It does not cost much, but worth your attention.
