Azerbaijan National History Museum to launch exhibition on Arshin Mal Alan operetta

An exhibition dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Uzeyir Hajibeyli`s "Arshin Mal Alan" musical comedy at the Azerbaijan National History Museum of ANAS was held on Tuesday.
According to the museum, photos of cultural figures, private things of them, documents and playbills will be on display at the exhibition.
A map "Arshin Malchi travels all over the world" reflecting countries, where the operetta was staged has been compiled.
Unique playbills, their history and facts on stealing the operetta by Armenians will be demonstrated at the event.
The exhibition will kick off at the opening ceremony of the international scientific symposium called "The role of musical instruments in Azerbaijani mugham and in the related traditional genres of East" within the framework of the "The World of Mugham" International Music Festival of 2013.
"Arshin Mal Alan" is the third and the last music comedy of the great Azerbaijan composer Uzeyir Hajibeyov, founder of the national composers` school, and author of the first eastern opera.
