National vocalists totally captivate music lovers in Philharmonic Hall [PHOTOS]
Fascinating concert titled "Evening of Sacred Music" has taken place at Chamber and Organ Music Hall, Azernews reports.
Honored Artist Ilham Nazarov (countertenor), Jamila Javadova-Spitsberg (organ), and Fatima Jafarzade (soprano) totally captivated the audience with their performances.
The vocalists were accompanied by the State Symphony Orchestra under the baton of artistic director and chief conductor, Honored Artist Fuad Ibrahimov, and the State Choir Cappella led by artistic director and chief conductor, People's Artist Gulbadji Imanova.
The concert program included the following music pieces G.F. Handel – "Arrival of the Queen of Sheba," J.B. Pergolesi – "Stabat Mater," J.S. Bach – Orchestral Suite No. 3 – "Air," F. Poulenc – Concerto for Organ, Timpani, and String Orchestra in G minor (Op. 36), R. Albinoni – "Adagio" in G minor. The event was met with great interest from the audience.
The Azerbaijan State Philharmonic Hall is a unique center of classical music, which perfectly unites seven performing groups, including the State Symphony Orchestra, the State Choir Capella, the State Chamber Orchestra, the State Piano Trio, the State String Quartet, the State Folk Song and Dance Ensemble as well as the State Orchestra of Folk Instruments.
Numerous International projects, music festivals, concerts of local and foreign musicians are regularly organized here.
The leadership of the Philharmonic Society also actively supports young talents through various projects.
