Azerbaijani fashion designer Gulnara Khalilova has demonstrated her collection "Garabagh and Kharibulbul" in Ankara as part of the events organized with the support of the Ahmad Javad Institute, the Azerbaijani Embassy in Turkiye and TURKSOY in honor of Azerbaijan's Victory Day, Azernews reports.
The collection "Garabagh and Kharibulbul," which reflects the traditions of national clothing from the Garabagh region, as well as a unique project titled "Qarabağın cizgiləri" (Faces of Garabagh) - portraits of outstanding personalities from Garabagh created in silk-screen printing, highlighting the rich heritage and social life, music, and literature of this ancient land of Azerbaijan.
For her contribution to the development of culture and art in the Turkic world, Gulnara Khalilova was awarded the Ahmad Javad medal, dedicated to the 130th anniversary of the outstanding representative of Azerbaijani literature, the great poet, renowned educator, and public figure.
Gulnara Khalilova is the head of the Azerbaijan National Costume Center.
She is a member of the Eurasian Association of Ethnodesigners, a Doctor of Philosophy in Art Studies, and the founder of the Cizgi brand.
Her collections have been successfully showcased at fashion weeks and other international events in the USA, the UK, Sweden, Austria, Romania, Turkiye, Russia, China, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Bulgaria, Norway, Serbia, the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, and other countries.
