A gala concert program will be presented at the Qurban Abbasov Cultural Center in Surakhani district on November 26, Azernews reports.

The event is organized by the initiative and organization of the Mirvarid Dilbazi Poetry Assembly Public Union, with the support of the Culture Ministry and the Institute of Folklore of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences in connection with the Azerbaijan Kelaghayi Day.

The prominent young performers will present a diverse program during the concert.

It is worth noting that on November 26, 2014, during a session of the Intergovernmental Committee for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of UNESCO, the Azerbaijani kelaghayi art was included in the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity under the title "Symbolism and Traditional Art of Kelaghayi."

This year marks the 10th anniversary of that historic event. In this regard, since the beginning of this year, various festivals, events, and exhibitions have been held across many regions, including Nakhchivan, as part of the "Sazlı, Sözlü Kelaghayi Days" project initiated and organized by the "Mirvarid Dilbazi Poetry Assembly" Public Union, in cultural, scientific, and educational institutions.

The project "Promotion of Azerbaijani Kelaghayi" has been successfully implemented with the support of the Agency for State Support to Non-Governmental Organizations of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
