Ganja holds spectacular concert dedicated to prominent opera singer [PHOTOS]
Ganja city has hosted spectacular concert dedicated to one of the founders of the national musical theater and professional vocal art, opera singer, recipient of state awards and orders, and People's Artist of the USSR Bulbul (Murtuza Mammadov, 1897-1961), Azernews reports.
The event was held as part of the project "Cultural Wealth of the People" (Xalqın mədəni sərvəti), organized by the Ganja State Philharmonic Hall.
The concert program featured performances by People's Artist Sevinc Ibrahimova, Honored Culture Worker Mehpara Jafarova, Honored Artists Kamil Tagizade, Tural Abdullayev, and soloist Vasif Bayramov, who performed romances by Uzeyir Hajibayli such as "Sevgili canan" and "Sənsiz", works by Asaf Zeynalli "Ölkəm", pieces by Fikrat Amirov "Ulduz" and "Gülüm", Aslan Shah Aria from the opera "Shah Ismail" by Muslim Magomayev, as well as compositions by Said Rustamov "İntizar" and Vasif Adigozalov "Qərənfil".
The main goal of the project "Cultural Wealth of the People" is to promote classical examples of Azerbaijani musical art, to engage in educational activities aimed at bringing folk music to a wider audience and modern youth. Within this project, a series of events is dedicated to prominent figures in culture and art.
Previously, evenings dedicated to the classics of national music such as Fikret Amirov, Gara Garayev, Suleyman Alasgarov, Jabbar Garagoyoglu, and Seyid Shushinski have taken place.
