The 9th season of Azerbaijan Fashion Week has come to an end.
Fashion designers from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Tajikistan presented their collections on the final day of the fashion week, Trend Life reported.
First, fashion lovers enjoyed the collection of Kazakh designer Tamara Lamanukayeva.
The show was opened by a live performance by Kazakh singer Loren, who has been friends with the designer for several years. As Tamara herself says, this collection has become a kind of new experience for her. Lamanukayeva prefers to create outfits of mostly black color, while her last collections featured pink, purple and other pastel shades.
The secret lies in the fact that Tamara began to create her new collection from kids looks. The special charm to the collection was given by large beads, matched to the color of the dresses.
The fashion collection of Tajik designer Fara Azim was inspired by the Renaissance and, in particular, by the Medicis, Italian bourgeois family that ruled Florence.
In her collection, Fara Azim brilliantly showed elements of the high society and military class of that time. For example, chainmail, manually decorated with sequins, has become one of the frequently repeated elements found in the collection.
Kazakh brand Arunaz introduced its pret-a-porter collection to the guests. The collection turned out to be very diverse. Asymmetrical dresses added masculinity and strength to the fashion looks.
Fashion collection of Azerbaijani designer Noora was characterized by oversized hoods and work uniforms. The guest models included the editor for special projects of The M.O.S.T. magazine Elchin Amirov and creator of the Debz brand, designer Elnara de Birbuet.
A little more femininity and tenderness were traced in Hasanova brand’s collection. Floral embroidery, prints and sequins delighted the guests of the fashion show.
Azerbaijan Fashion Week was closed with the collection of Kazakh designer Leonid Zherebtsov. The fashion designer decided to present his new collection in Azerbaijan, and then in his home country.
He surprised the audience once again. The new collection of Zherebtsov brand was dedicated to the victims of plastic surgery, and the models participating in the show looked as if they have just went to the podium after facelift operations or rhinoplasty. The prints for the clothing line were created by Azerbaijani artist Akhmad Nabiyev.
Thus, Azerbaijan Fashion Week has completed its work, but it will return in November with the 10th jubilee season.
