Azerbaijani chef joins Chef Battle 2018 in Kazakhstan [PHOTO]

President of the National Culinary Association, the head of the National Culinary Center, Tahir Amiraslanov was the jury member of the 4th International Culinary Tournament "Chef Battle BBQ 2018", held in Almaty on September 8-9.
Some 100 chefs from Kazakhstan, Russia, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan, Ukraine, China, Turkey and other countries competed for the title of the best in the chef show "Chef-Battle", Trend Life reported.
The contest was held on the principle of "black box" - this is one of the most complex formats of culinary competition, as it is necessary to present the original dish in a 30 minutes. As the result, ten chefs reached to the final. The best chefs were awarded with certificates, diplomas and medals of the tournament.
The judges of the tournament included the best world culinary arts stars. The jury was headed by Thomas Gugler, President of the World Association of Chefs' Societies, the winner of 178 medals and top awards, WACS judge of category "A". He is also the chef of many celebrities and first heads of state.
The competition was co-organized by the Restaurant criticism of Kazakhstan and Association of Chefs of Kazakhstan. The project aims at strengthening the image of the masters of culinary arts and popularize the profession of the chef, to demonstrate the best traditions of the restaurant business in Kazakhstan.
Within the framework of the project, an evening of Azerbaijani national cuisine was also held.
