Azerbaijani movie named best in Russia

Azerbaijani movie "Salty Sea Dog" by Murad Abiyev has been shown at Zilant International Film Festival in Russia.
The movie won the prize "Best Director's Work" in short film category.
All winners were awarded by Andrey Selivanov, Russia's leading filmmaker.
"Salty Sea Dog" movie was presented at the festival by its scriptwriter and producer Lala Aliyeva-Klychkov. During the presentation, she spoke about the movie and expressed her pride of Azerbaijani movie for being represented at the international festival.
The plot of the movie reflects a classical women’s story of betrayal and loneliness.
The woman drives to the beach remembering betrayal by her beloved man and losing her unborn baby. Being unable to resist her pain, the woman wants to commit suicide when she is saved by the stray dog. Two lonely souls start their life together hoping for the better future.
The film was shot by "NarimanFilm" studio.
The scriptwriter is Lala Aliyeva-Klychkova, operator-director Kiril Gerra, producers were Nariman Mammadov and Lala Aliyeva-Klychkova.
The cast includes Natvan Hajiyeva and Azer Aydemir.
Despite the fact that the film was shot in August 2017, it has been already screened at many festivals, including the International Bosphorus Film Festival (Turkey), and "Green Vision" (Russia).
Besides, short movie was demonstrated at a closed show in Malibu, the U.S.
In April, "Salty Sea Dog" will be shown at the international film festival in Cameroon.
Actress Natavan Hajiyeva was awarded with the title "Best Actress of Foreign Cinema" at the Women's Only Entertainment Film Festival. Lala Aliyeva-Klychkova won "Best Female Filmmaker Award" at Moscow Indie Film Festival.
Zilant Film Festival gives a chance for filmmakers from around the world to present their work. There are no restrictions on genre and theme of movies. The festival aims to identify and support talented children and students, search of new forms and genres of art.
