When you’re dreaming of visiting the Land of Fire, filled with incredible scenic beauty, ancient crafts, or perhaps both, where do you begin your search for the best destinations?

If you are ever touring in Azerbaijan, do not miss a visit to beautiful mountain village Lahij.

Located 36 km from the center of Ismayilli region, it became a favorite spot for tourists thanks to its climate, emerald forests, ancient view and historical monuments.

Lahij is also known for its talented artisans and craftsmen. One of such craftsmen is Nazar Aliyev.

The artist carefully studies ancient works and national ornaments. The knowledge obtained by the craftsman helps him in his work.

The Center of Simplified Support of Family Business (ABAD) decided to support craftsman. Thus, the works of craftsman are put on sale in Baku, Azertac reported.

At the same time, Aliyev`s art works have been displayed in ABAD centers.

Established upon the presidential decree dated to 2016, ABAD centers are aimed to support the family business operating in the field of folk arts, crafts and agriculture.

Speaking about his art, Nazar Aliyev said that he started to work at a young age.

“When I was six, my father and uncle worked together in our workshop in order to learn copper art. I have experience in many workshops in Lahij. I even sewed carpets together with my mother-in-law,” said the craftsman.

The craftsman successfully represented Azerbaijani culture in many foreign countries.

His art works have been exhibited in various exhibition halls.

A copper pomegranate, one of his most haunting works was exhibited at the pomegranate festival held in Vienna, Austria.
