Azerbaijan and Germany hold concert to mark 25th anniversary of diplomatic ties [PHOTO]

The Cultural Center Kulturfabrik in Germany has hosted a fascinating concert timed to the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Azerbaijan and Germany.
The marvelous event themed " Pictures from Azerbaijan - The Land of Fire" featured the performance of "Bridge of Sound" ensemble under the direction of Azerbaijani composer Khadija Zeynalova, Trend Life reported.
The project was implemented ensemble's director Khadija Zeynalova with the assistance of the Detmold Municipality and the Ministry of Culture of the North Rhine-Westphalia region.
Public figures, representatives of culture and science, diplomatic missions were the guests of the festive evening.
Addressing the event, Khadija Zeynalova spoke about Azerbaijan's ancient culture and musical heritage, classical music.
The Bridge of Sound ensemble was created by Khadija Zeynalova in 2016. The idea of creating the ensemble was born to the composer under the impression of the work of the German poet and philosopher Johann Goethe of the " West–Eastern Diwan ", where composer brilliantly combined Eastern and Western literary culture, and demonstrated it through the simplest and most complex, universal concept - love, inner the world of the man. However, Goethe showed the inner world not of an individual, but of an entire culture, once again proclaiming this universal value of eastern poetry and culture.
"Our goal is to unite Eastern and Western people. The ensemble reflects its international character through various musical instruments. European musical instruments blend together beautifully with the Azerbaijani tar," said Khadija Zeynalova.
"Bridge of Sound" ensemble consists of Tim Huttemeister (conductor), Jan Yang Kong (first violin), Fatmanur Shahin (second violin), Kristana Heide (viola), Peter Schneider (cello), Kazuyo Tshuheniro (percussion), Hans Frönlich (recorder) , Maria Ganzova (piano), Pavel Efremov (accordion) and Azerbaijani musician, tar performer Vahid Tarzen.
Vahid Tarzen is a graduate of the Baku Musical Academy. He a soloist of Azerbaijan State Tour Concert Association ("Azkoncert"). Vahid Tarzen worked together with many famous musicians and singers.
The repertoire of the concert was chosen and arranged by Khadija Zeynalova. The ensemble delighted audience with works of such great German composers as Bach, Haydn, Beethoven and Schubert. They also performed works of Azerbaijani classics " The Blind Man's Son" by Uzeyir Hajibeyli, three miniatures by Fikret Amirov and compositions by Khadija Zeynalova - "Yanardagh", three-part concert for solo tar and orchestra, three-part composition "Pictures from the Land of Fire" for a string quartet, featuring Azerbaijani folk song "Yellow Bride".
The concert was greeted with a standing ovation of the auditorium.The music lovers expressed their appreciation with a great and long applause.
Khadija Zeynalova is a graduate of the Baku Musical Academy, the Detmold Conservatory and the University of Paderborn in Germany. She is a member of the Azerbaijan Composers' Union, PhD and Associate Professor of the University of Paderborn and the Detmold Music Academy. Her works were performed at festivals in Azerbaijan, Germany, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Great Britain, Italy, Turkey, Oman, France, Hungary and other countries.
