The French city of Reims, located 143km from Paris, will host an event featuring Azerbaijani jazz.

The jazz festival in the city, known as the Sunnyside Festival, will run from October 16 to November 11.

Azerbaijan’s honored Artist Isfar Sarabski will give a solo concert on November 5 as part of the festival, Azertac reports.

Isfar Rzayev, better known as Isfar Sarabski, is the great-grandson of opera singer Huseyngulu Sarabski.

His influences range from Vagif Mustafazadeh, founder of "jazz-mugham" - a fusion of the traditional music of Azerbaijan mugham and the rhythms of jazz, to Herbie Hancock and Keith Jarret, passing by works of Piotr Tchaikovsky.

Azerbaijan's young virtuoso has performed in the most prestigious concert halls, including the Royal Albert Hall, the Queen Elizabeth Hall, the Miles Davis Hall, the Vibrato Jazz Club, Jazz Club Ronnie Scott's, the Zinco Jazz Club, the Konzerthaus, Asphalt Jazz Club, Duc des Lombards Jazz Club, Porgy & Bess Jazz Club, Bird’s Eye Jazz Club and the Apollo Theater.
