Baku is a special city. With its unbelievably majestic aura, the city represents a splendid mixture of the past and present. Changing appearance of the city brings a lot satisfaction, but viewing pictures taken ten years ago makes one feel nostalgic for the beloved capital.
This is the very feeling bringing back the older generation to the capital of the Land of Fire in the 1960s-1970s -- the warm summer evenings in the gardens and parks of the city, where different ensembles and singer performed on the wooden stages.
The Fountain Square has hosted the next concert within "Retro Baku" project, co-organized by Baku City Main Department of Culture and Tourism.
The fascinating concert with participation of talented singers Elnara Khalilova, Rosa Zyargyarli, Leyla Ramazanly, Dana Durdana, Sabina Askerova, Anar Rahimli, Kenul Mammadli, Naila Muslimova, Aytaj Vidadigyzy, Mirjabbar Mirbabaev, dance groups "Sema" and "Hazarim" pleased both young and old.
The stage was decorated with retro posters, large photographs with the city's old views objects, etc.
The main aim of the project is to ensure colorful and interesting leisure time of residents and guests of Baku, and to revive a tradition of holding such kind of concerts, which took place in Baku in the 60's - 70's of the last century.
A series of unforgettable concerts will run on weekends until September 15.
