Azerbaijani, Israeli theaters build partnership

Baku has hosted a meeting between the director of Azerbaijan State Theatre of Young Spectators, President of ASSITEJ Center Mubariz Hamidov and the artistic director and chief director of the Israeli Youth Theatre, Shaul Tiktiner.
The sides discussed joint projects and performances. They agreed that the Israeli theatre team will stage "Bremen town musicians" and "Little Prince" plays in Baku the next season, Trend Life reported.
Moreover, the actors of Azerbaijan's theater will perform in Tel Aviv.
In 2016, the Israeli Youth Theatre celebrated its 25th anniversary and the 70th anniversary of theater's director and actor Shaul Tiktiner.
Azerbaijan State Theatre of Young Spectators was established in 1927 on the basis of Children's Theatre and artistic amateur drama circles of pioneers and students. The "Storm" play written on initiative of 14-year-old Aghadadash Gurbanov laid the foundation of the Children Theater.
Since July 18, 1936 in Baku Children's Theatre was renamed as "Azerbaijan State Young Spectators Theatre" basing on order of Azerbaijan People's Commissariat for Education, and named after Maxim Gorki.
