Baku Music Academy has hosted a concert of Norway's Chamber Orchestra "Oslo Kammerakademi" to mark the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Azerbaijan and Norway, and Norway's Constitution Day.

Cultural figures, famous musicians, representatives of diplomatic missions, students of Baku Music Academy attended the event, Trend Life reported.

Norwegian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Bard Ivar Svendsen and Rector of Baku Music Academy for international relations, Professor Egana Akhundova, addressed the event and stressed the importance of expanding cultural ties between Norway and Azerbaijan.

"Oslo Kammerakademi" performed in Baku also in 2016 and held several workshops.

Since the beginning of the 1990s Azerbaijan and Norway have developed an increasingly strong relationship. Diplomatic relations between the two countries were established in 1992. The Norwegian embassy in Baku was opened in 1998.

The co-operation has been growing especially in the field of energy, and several Norwegian companies have established themselves in Baku.
