Artist ‘reveals’ formula of happiness [PHOTO]

An exhibition entitled "Formula of happiness" by famous artist Namig Mammadov opened in the Baku Museum of Modern Art.
The exhibition that will run till May 31features graphic works and paintings of the artist.
A series of paintings "the Prayer" draws a special attention. Three-dimensional figures on the canvas appear following one another, like the guardian angels, who accompany the artist throughout his life.
Addressing the event, Artists Salhab Mammadov, Altay Sadikhzade,Inna Kostina spoke about the creativity of Namig Mammadov, Azertac reported.
They stressed that the artist's works are stored in public and private collections all over the world - Museum of Modern Art (Baku), National Museum of Arts (Baku), gallery of TURKSOY (Ankara), the Centre of Islamic art (Moscow), and in Norway, Denmark, USA, Italy, Turkey, Germany, the UK and other countries.
Namig Mammadov, in turn, expressed his gratitude to the head of the museum for organizing the event.
Then guests enjoyed the exhibition.
In his works Namig Mammadov reflects a deep sense of intimacy, although the image does not contain any accurate images.
Namig Mammadov was born in Ganja on December 23, 1957. In 1982 he graduated from Azerbaijan State Art school named after Azim Azimzade and the Vilnius Academy of Arts in 1988. He currently lives and works in Baku.
The artist's creative activity started in 1982 as his paintings "Our garden" and "Gymnastics" were displayed at the exhibition "Creative youth week".
