An exhibition called "Uzbekistan through the eyes of Azerbaijani children” has opened at Khatai Art Center in Baku, Azertac reported.

The event aims at encouraging Azerbaijani children's interest in traditions, history, culture, cuisine and life style of the people of Uzbekistan.

Full of fun for children, the exhibition featured paintings by young artists, their vision of the world. Young artists were awarded with diplomas and prizes.

The works presented at exhibition will be displayed at art competitions in Uzbekistan.

The event organizers are the Culture and Tourism Ministry, Azerbaijan Cultural Center after Heydar Aliyev at the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Uzbekistan, State Fine Arts Gallery and Khatai Art Center.

Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan share historical, cultural, linguistic and religious roots, and are dynamically developing their political, economic and cultural relations.

The diplomatic relations between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan were established in October 1995. The two countries have signed over 100 bilateral documents.
