YARAT Contemporary Art Space is delighted to invite all movie lovers to the screening of 'Red Garden', directed by Mirbala Salimli Azerbaijan. The screening will be organized as a event of YARAT Film Club on October 25.

The film tells the story of a provincial teacher from blue blood, Abbas. А desperate desire of having his own son makes him so indifferent to orphan in his custody and even to deadlock situation of his beloved spouse Vafa. But everything changes, when he himself causes Vafa’s death. Now in the otherworld Abbas is craving to have back all the things that he couldn’t protect in this world…

A film was co-produced by AzerbaijanFilm Company and White Media, (Russia).

“Red Garden” had it’s world premiere on Eurasia International Film Festival and will have it’s European premiere this November at Mannheim-Heidelberg International Film Festival and also Cairo International Film Festival

Cast includesMagsud Mammadov, Gulzar Gurbanova, and Taleh Badiyev

The venue is YARAT Contemporary Art Centre, Multifunctional Room. Entry is free.

YARAT is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to nurturing an understanding of contemporary art in Azerbaijan and to creating a platform for Azerbaijani art, both nationally and internationally. Based in Baku, YARAT (meaning CREATE in Azerbaijani) was founded by Aida Mahmudova in 2011. YARAT realises its mission through an on-going program of exhibitions, education events and festivals. YARAT facilitates exchange between local and international artistic networks including foundations, galleries and museums.
