SAY: Volunteering Festival has started in Oghuz region of Azerbaijan, Trend Life reported.

The project is implemented to honor the 4th Islamic Solidarity Games to be held in Baku in 2017.

The festival aims at teaching skills, knowledge and experience needed for volunteer activities.

The opening ceremony was attended by the head of the Sector for work with youth organizations under the Azerbaijani Presidential Administration's Social and Political Department Vusal Guliyev, sector chief of the Youth Foundation under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Orkhan Arabov, president of " IRELI" organization Mirgasan Seyidov and Chairman of Oghuz region's department of Youth and Sports Ramiz Aliyev

Speakers informed the audience about successful volunteer activities in the country, the importance of the implementation of the project and wished the participants success.

Workshops on team cooperation, personal fulfillment, creativity etc. will be held as part of project.

Also, a number of cultural events, intellectual games, practical classes under the guidance of Azerbaijan Orienteering Federation, Azerbaijan Shooting Federation will be organized by Fairex club.

The teams “Xarı bülbül”, “Kəpəz”, “Buta”, “Muğam”, “Nar”, “Alov”, “Qobustan”, “Xəzri” will compete for bonus points.

The winners will be awarded with special diplomas and valuable prizes.
