Omani companies invited to invest in Azerbaijan
Cooperation in trade and economic sphere between Azerbaijan and Oman was discussed during the visit of Azerbaijani deputy foreign minister Khalaf Khalafov to Oman, the Omani media reported.
Khalafov held several meetings at the foreign ministry in the Omani capital Muscat and met Mohsen bin Khamis al Balushi, advisor in the ministry of commerce and industry of the country.
During his meeting with Balushi, Khalafov discussed bilateral cooperation between the countries in commerce and economic fields.
The two sides also discussed aspects of cooperation and means of activating them, in addition to investment in oil and agriculture sectors.
The minister also invited Omani companies to invest in Azerbaijan.
Sultanate of Oman recognized Azerbaijan on 30December 1991. Diplomatic relations were established on 13 July 1992. The Azerbaijani embassy in Saudi Arabia Kingdom office in Oman has started activity since 30 October 2009.
