During 18 years of its operation, Azercell Telecom LLC has supported educational development and capacity building in Azerbaijan. The company is successfully continuing its activity in this regard. Thus, 19 students and 2 professors of Computer Engineering faculty of Qafqaz University visited Azercell on April, 16. After getting broad information about working principles of mobile communication, the guests got familiar with the daily workflow, management of personnel development and internship program at Human Resources Department.

Later, the guests were invited to control rooms of Network Operation Center, where they were acquainted with servers and explained about the work principle. Company representatives also presented first contract of Azercell and Ericson cellular phone from which Haydar Aliyev made the first mobile call in 1996. Following the introduction, the guests and company employees had interesting discussions.

It should be noted that Azercell has a long-term cooperation with Qafqaz University. Students of the university conducted studies within the framework of innovative Barama project of the company. They also participate in Student Bursary Program offered by Azercell. Company specialists deliver training events exclusively to Qafqaz students with the application of new technologies. In addition, first 4G laboratory was established by Azercell at Qafqaz.

Azercell Telecom regularly conducts projects aimed for the development of the youth. Under the Student Bursary program of the company, capable youth studying at Azerbaijani universities get a great opportunity to receive special bursary from Azercell and take internship at various divisions of the company. Azercell will continue to focus on supporting education and the youth in the country.
