KAMAZ trucks to be manufactured in Ganja

Azerbaijan has received the formal certificate to manufacture KAMAZ cars. Ganja Automobile Plant and JSC KAMAZ signed the agreement allowing Azerbaijan to manufacture and sale KAMAZ cars.

The country will be able to get down to work in February-March 2015.

As part of the beginning process, a Kamaz delegation, headed by Sergey Kogogin, General Director of the Kamaz visited Ganja.

During the visit the sides underlined Ganja Automobile Plant’s high level of training industrial capacity, and experience. They also praised the market opportunities and the readiness of the service centers which exist in almost all regions of the country.

Moreover, Khanlar Fatiyev, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Plant and Kamran Nazarov, Director of the Production Association familiarized the guests with the plant.

General Director of Kamaz also met with Yagub Eyyubov, First Deputy Prime Minister.

The sides praised prospects and grounds of cooperation in the production of KAMAZ vehicles and their export to third countries.

KAMAZ manufactured a wide range of trucks including lorries (more than 40 models, 1,500 options, right-hand drive cars), trailers, buses, tractors, engines, power units and various tools. KAMAZ’s trucks are varying from 14 to 40 tons.

Ganja Automobile Plant was established in 2004. At first, the number of employees was 85 people and now their number has reached 700.

In 2010 Ganja Automobile Plant, Minsk Automobile Olant and German “Haller” company signed an agreement on installation utility equipment by the German company to the automobile division of the Ganja Plant.

In 2006, Ganja and Minsk automobile plants inked an agreement on manufacturing and sale all kinds of trucks and tractors of the Minsk Automobile Plant in Azerbaijan.

Ganja Plant is capable to manufacture up to 1,000 trucks and 2,000 tractors per year.

Currently, Ganja Automobile Plant is assembling “Belarus and MAZ automobiles.

The company gives a one-year guarantee to the equipment produced by the plant. It also ensures quality services in all regions of the country.
