Baku to host food exhibition

WorldFood Azerbaijan 2013, the Azerbaijan International Food Industry Exhibition, will take place at the Baku Expo Centre in Azerbaijan's capital from May 22 to 24. Held for the 19th time this year, WorldFood Azerbaijan has established itself as the Caspian region's leading food industry event.

Over 100 companies will exhibit this year from 26 countries, including newcomers Latvia, Belgium and Iran, who will all be exhibiting from national stands for the first time this year - these countries and other debutants make up 60% of all exhibitors.

As well as being an important marketing tool for presenting new food products, WorldFood Azerbaijan is also a place to learn about the latest developments. Through its specialised exhibitions - WorldFood, WorldDrink and WorldFoodTech - WorldFood Azerbaijan covers the entire industry, with stands presenting meat, tinned produce, groceries, ingredients, tea, fruit and vegetables, patisserie and drinks.

The Ministry of Agriculture of Azerbaijan is a longstanding supporter of WorldFood Azerbaijan, which is also supported by the Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Foundation and the National Confederation of Entrepreneurs' (Employers') Organizations of Azerbaijan Republic.

WorldFood Azerbaijan 2013 is organised by Iteca Caspian and ITE Group Plc, a leading organiser of international exhibitions and conferences in fast-developing and emerging markets. The Group comprises over 30 offices worldwide and organises over 250 events every year in 16 countries.

Ipack Caspian 2013, the international packaging, labelling and printing exhibition, will take place alongside WorldFood Azerbaijan, showcasing packaging production equipment, packaging materials, and finished packaging for a range of the food industry. The Agrihort Azerbaijan 2013 agriculture exhibition will also be co-located. Companies from Ukraine, Russia, France, Italy, Spain and The Netherlands will display farming equipment and machinery; an open-air display area for agricultural machinery will feature.
