Flights to Baku, Delhi, Islamabad and Dubai via Tajik Air airline suspended

Tajikistan's state airline Tajik Air stopped flights to Baku, Islamabad, Dubai and Delhi In late 2012 due to the company's financial difficulties, Trend news agency reported on Monday referring to Asia-Plus.

According to Tajik Air CEO, Firuz Khamroyev, financial situation in the company is not stable and unprofitable flights had been making it even worse.

Khamroyev said that the reason why situation became difficult is that most of the airliners were on technical maintenance and the process took longer that was expected. Currently only 12 from 36 airplanes of Tajik Air operate.
