Azerbaijan introduces certification of securities market professional participants
The State Securities Committee (SSC) of Azerbaijan has approved the rules of certification of participants of securities market, the report of the State Committee published on its website says, Trend news agency reported.
"These rules are already included in the State Register of Legal Acts," the statement says.
The rules define the requirements for persons wishing to engage themselves in professional activities in the securities market, including assessment procedures and organization and implementation of the SCS attestation.
To date, 15 licenses are valid for brokerage activity in the securities market, 14 permits for dealer activity, three for the depository activity, two licenses for the register of securities holders, one for the activities of the stock exchange and one for clearing activities.
