Accommodation costs for tourists down in Azerbaijan

The cost of living per person in the accommodations for tourists in Azerbaijan has declined 10 to 20 percent compared to last year, the government said.

In general, positive developments were observed in the field of tourism services in the regions of Azerbaijan, according to the results of a monitoring conducted by the ministries of culture and tourism and economic development, which were published on Wednesday.

There are accommodations in the regions, which meet the level of solvency of all segments of the population, the monitoring revealed.

The number of additional services provided to tourists in hotels and recreation facilities has grown by 20-25 percent and the range of tourist services in the regions of the country increased 10-15 percent compared to last year, according to the three-week monitoring.

The monitoring was launched on June 11 in 137 hotels in Ganja, Naftalan, Mingachevir, Sheki, Lankaran, Gadabay, Balakan, Zagatala, Gakh, Gabala, Ismayilli, Shamakhi, Khachmaz, Gusar, Guba, Lerik and Masalli.
