ADB’s new head in Azerbaijan appointed
BAKU – The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has appointed Olly Norojono, an Indonesian citizen, as the new director of its office in Azerbaijan. His candidacy was approved by a decision of the ADB Board of Directors in late October, the ADB`s Baku office said.
He will pay a 3-4-week visit to Azerbaijan in mid-November and move to Baku in January 2011.
Earlier Norojono served as an ADB senior transport economist for Central and West Asia.
The ADB office in Azerbaijan has operated without a leader since 2008.
Azerbaijan has received $660.4 million in loan assistance since joining the ADB in 1999.
