Azerbaijan sees growth in exports to UK early this year

Trade relations between Azerbaijan and the United Kingdom have experienced remarkable growth in the first two months of 2025, Azernews reports.
According to official figures, the total volume of trade turnover between the two countries increased by 5.4 times compared to the same period last year, surpassing $214.9 million.
The growth was driven primarily by a significant rise in exports from Azerbaijan to the UK, which soared to $73.8 million, marking a 64-fold increase year-on-year. At the same time, imports from the UK to Azerbaijan reached $141.1 million, showing a 3.6-fold rise.
As a result, the share of the UK in Azerbaijan's total trade turnover rose to 2.41% in January–February 2025—up 1.86 percentage points from the previous year—reflecting strengthening bilateral economic ties.
