Azerbaijan-Pakistan trade set to flourish under new transit rules
The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has introduced draft regulations to advance transit trade between Azerbaijan and Pakistan as part of the 2024 agreement, Azernews reports.
According to PEconomist, vehicles registered in Azerbaijan will be granted permission to transport goods to and from Pakistan without requiring financial guarantees, a move aimed at streamlining trade operations.
This initiative is expected to boost regional commerce by leveraging Pakistan's strategic ports, including Karachi, Port Qasim, and Gwadar, enhancing connectivity and trade opportunities between the two nations.
