COP29 in Baku to focus on climate change adaptation and meteorological cooperation in OTS
Within the framework of the 29th Conference of the Parties (COP29) to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change, to be held in Baku, ways of cooperation in the field of meteorology will be discussed among the countries of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), Azernews reports.
The General Meteorological Department of Turkey will organize a panel discussion on "Integrated Early Weather Warning Systems in the Countries of the Organization of Turkic States." The event will take place on November 19 at the Turkey Pavilion, as part of the thematic day on "Food, Agriculture, and Water."
During the discussions, opportunities for cooperation between the Turkish states in meteorology and joint initiatives for climate change adaptation will be explored. The event will be moderated by Hamza Taşdelen, Deputy Chairman of the Turkish Emergency Management Agency (AFAD).
The panel discussions aim to address important issues related to the integration of early warning systems and the strengthening of regional cooperation
