Yuriko Koike, the Governor of Tokyo, who is visiting Baku to participate in the 29th session of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29), met with Eldar Azizov, the Head of Baku City Executive Authority, Azernews reports, citing the press service of the Baku City Executive Authority.

Yuriko Koike emphasized how impressed she was by the cleanliness and beauty of Baku and expressed her satisfaction with being in Azerbaijan and participating in COP29.

The guest also noted the rapid development of both Azerbaijan and the city of Baku in recent years.

Eldar Azizov, the Head of Baku City Executive Authority, expressed his pleasure at the Japanese delegation's visit and provided information about the city. He stated that the development of Baku and the regions today is the result of the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev.

Later, the future cooperation between the two capital cities was discussed.
