IBA draws financing from Credit Suisse
BAKU - The International Bank of Azerbaijan (IBA), the country’s
biggest bank, will attract external financing in the amount of
$300-400 million by the end of the year.
"In particular, $150 million will be raised from Credit Suisse," IBA board chairman Jahangir Hajiyev said.
External liabilities of the bank currently do not exceed $800 million.
Hajiyev said that in 2011, the bank might carry out an issue of eurobonds, though it would be more effective to do so after a sovereign issue of eurobonds.
