Volume of Kazakh oil transported to Baku port hikes
The volume of transportation of Kazakh oil to Baku port increased by 75 percent, Azernews reports, citing Kazakh media outlets.
"The increase in the transportation of Kazakh oil for export from the port of Aktau is related to the increase in the volume of raw materials transported to the port of Baku from 87,000 tons to 152.4 thousand tons, or 75 percent compared to March 2023," the information says.
In general, the volume of transportation of Kazakh oil for export from Aktau port increased by 60.5 thousand tons or 25 percent and reached 312.6 thousand tons in April.
In addition, 160.2 thousand tons of oil were sent from Aktau port to Makhachkala port in April.
Earlier, an agreement was signed between KazMunayGaz and the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) providing for the transportation of 1.5 million tons of oil produced in the Tengiz field through the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil pipeline.
