Azerbaijan's customs legislation is simplified enough, said Aydin Aliyev.
Commenting on the proposals of Turkish businessmen, who consider it necessary to simplify customs procedures at the border, the head of the State Customs Committee (SCC) said that customs bodies are equipped with the necessary equipment.
Aliyev also recalled the successes that the customs authorities of Azerbaijan achieved last year in the field of combating drug trafficking. He added that this year Azerbaijan has already done quite a lot of work to stop drug trafficking.
"We must not forget that the functions of the customs bodies have expanded - from ensuring economic security to ensuring general security. In this regard, we know how to exercise customs control," he said.
