Azerbaijan Railways reveals tariffs for storage services

Azerbaijan Railways Company, the national state-owned rail transport operator, has revealed new tariffs for baggage storage at its railway stations.

The following tariffs will be applied in baggage storage services:

Period

Small size bags

AZN / USD

Medium size bags

Big size bags

Up to 4 hours

1.0 ($0.57)

2.0 ($1.15)

3.0 ($1.72)

For each additional hour

0.20 (0.11)

0.30 (0.17)

0.50 (0.28)

The Baku Railway Station was opened for passengers after the renovation in early February. The major reconstruction and repair work started here in March, 2015.

The building of the Baku Railway Station was constructed in the style of Mauritania in 1884. In 1977, a new building of the railway station was constructed.

There are administrative rooms, modern commercial and catering facilities, waiting rooms, mother-and-child rooms and cloakrooms. Passengers will be able to use free Wi-Fi. Besides, “ASAN kommunal” No.2 operates in the second floor of the building.

Azerbaijan Railways was established in summer 2009. The current length of railways of Azerbaijan is 2,989 kilometers. As of August 2016, car park of the company included some 19,987 units.
