Azerbaijan, Jordan to mull expansion of economic ties

Azerbaijan and Jordan will discuss opportunities of expanding economic ties during a meeting of the bilateral Intergovernmental Commission scheduled for April in Oman, Jordan’s Ambassador to Azerbaijan Nassar Al-Habashneh told Trend.
The diplomat stressed that it will be the third meeting of the intergovernmental commission and the previous meeting was held in Baku in 2011.
The parties will discuss all aspects of bilateral cooperation during the meeting, added the ambassador.
The Jordan Kingdom relates to Azerbaijan as reliable economic and political ally. Jordan repeatedly voiced intention to activate ties with Azerbaijan, which is the leading country in South Caucasus.
Amman and Baku also have ambitious plans to expand their cooperation in education, culture and other fields to serve the interests of their peoples.
