The newly-established Food Procurement and Supply Company plans to establish refining enterprises to process production, which does not meet required standards.
Chairman of the company Elshan Asadov said the low-quality production will be processed and by-products will be further produced.
“For instance, if we receive large consignment of apples, which includes first and second rate goods, high-quality production will be used for procurement, while low-quality output will be processed and used for the production of by-products (compote, for example)”
As for the portal of centralized state purchases of food stuff, Asadov said that the portal contains all necessary information about potential producers of food stuff in the country, the list of output and legislative act.
Some 300 people have so far registered in the portal. Moreover, some 12 regional offices were created to store agricultural production in the regions of the country.
He went on saying that the company will start payment of advance money for entrepreneurs on the basis of concluded contracts starting from October 2017. The sum will amount to some 25 percent from the cost of the production. Moreover, the company will supervise production process.
