A delegation of Senegal’s Customs Committee is currently in Azerbaijan to study the country’s experience in customs.
Chairman of Azerbaijan’s State Customs Committee, Aydin Aliyev announced about this while talking to reporters on October 18.
“The main purpose of the visit is to study the working process and the process of enhancing the level of customs officers’ potential,” Aliyev said.
In addition, Senegal’s delegation includes four dog handlers. “We trained two dogs for drugs search. They will be given as gift to the Senegalese customs,” Aliyev said.
In May 2016, Azerbaijan's State Customs Committee (SCC) and Senegal's General Administration of Customs signed an agreement on mutual aid in the field of strengthening the capacity of customs officials
The agreement included an article on organization of joint seminars, promotion of cooperation between canine services, and other issues. Moreover, issues of development of cooperation between the two countries' customs services were discussed during the spring visit.
