Country records high corn yield

A high corn yield was recorded in Yalama Agropark of the Khachmaz region on October 5.
About 1, 564 tons of corn harvested in an area of 100 hectares, the Ministry of Economic reported on October 4. Over 15.6 tons of corn has been harvested per hectare.
Some 128.5 hectares of land have been allotted for clover, while 228.5 hectares have been allocated for barley.
To ensure the profitability of the cultivated area, the harvested area of barley was replaced with the silage corn.
Some 170 hectares of land will be sown with barley in winter.
Also, a breeding complex, with a capacity of 3,000 cattle has been already established on the territory of the Agropark.
The major cereal-growing enterprise with an area of 385 hectares, the feed production plant with a capacity of 5 tons per hour, warehouse with a capacity of 4,500 tons and other enterprises are located at this site.
During the second phase, the dairy plant with a capacity of 100 tons per day will be also constructed on the territory. The dairy products, including butter, milk and cheese will be sold both on domestic and foreign market.
Yalama Agropark provides jobs for 150 people. Further, this number will increase.
