1. Glamour girl

All eyes at Crystal Hall will be on Ukraine’s Olympic champion Olga
Kharlan, the glamorous sabre fencer. In the men's individual foil,
Italian 2015 world junior champion Damiano Rosatelli aims to make
an impact on the international senior scene.
2. Judokas at the ready
Judo, from 12:00
Judo starts and in the women's -57kg category, 2008 Olympic
champion Giulia Quintavalle of Italy faces stiff competition from
Frenchwoman Automne Pavia, bronze medallist at both the London 2012
Olympic Games and the 2014 world championships. Charline van Snick
of Belgium, who will compete in the women's -48kg division, is the
winner of numerous bronze and silver medals, and is after an
upgrade in Baku.
3. Serbia Poles apart so far
Volleyball, 17:00
In the semi-finals of the women's Volleyball competition, Poland
take on Serbia, who have won five of their six games so far and are
favourites to progress to the final.
4. Badminton bubbling up
Badminton, 17:00
The Badminton competition shifts up a gear when the knockout rounds
start on Thursday morning. In the men's singles, no.2 seed Misha
Zilberman eased through the group stage with three comfortable
victories, but remains cautious: "Everyone who gets to the round of
16 will be strong," he said. "If they are playing at 100 per cent,
I could lose."
5. From the pool to the podium
Swimming, 18:25
Italy's Alessandro Miressi will be lining up as one of the fastest
young teenagers in Europe on Thursday evening, in the final of the
prized men's 100m freestyle event. After posting the fastest time
in the semi-finals on Wednesday evening (49.80 seconds), he faces
Great Britain's Duncan Scott (49.81) as well as his countryman
Alessandro Bori (50.04) in the battle for a podium place.
