Russian gymnasts win two more gold medals at Baku 2015
Russian gymnasts Dmitry Ushakov and Mikhail Melnik grabbed the gold medal in men’s synchronized trampoline event at the First European Games in Baku June 21. They scored 51.100.
Mikalai Kazak and Uladzislau Hancharou (Belarus) won the silver medal, while the bronze medal was grabbed by Kyrylo Sonn and Martin Gromowski (Germany).
Moreover, Russia became the gold medal winner in women’s synchronized trampoline event as well.
Yana Pavlova and Anna Kornetskaya ranked first in this event. Marine Jurbert and Joelle Vallez (France) won the silver medal, while Beatriz Martins and Ana Rente, representing Portugal, grabbed the bronze medal.
Meanwhile, medal winners have been named in groups’ event in aerobic gymnastics. Hungarian team won the gold medal, while the silver and bronze medals were grabbed by Romanian and Spanish teams, respectively.
The European Games that kicked off in Baku June 12, will last till June 28. There is a total of 20 sports at Baku 2015: 16 Olympic sports and four non-Olympic sports.
More than 6,000 athletes from across Europe came to Baku to represent their nations over 17 days of competition. Baku was awarded the games by the European Olympic Committees (EOC) in December 2012.
