Ronald Cramer, the President of the European Table Tennis Union said the first European Games running in Baku, is a well-organized tournament, contributing to the growth of the sport importance in Europe.

"Still, it is the new format tournament and the federation is not familiar with it. This is a great possibility which allows to make sport even more noticeable in Europe. The Games are organized at a high level, everything is going well. The most important thing is to be able to correctly insert the competition in the international calendar. I would especially like to note the activity of volunteers. "

He also stressed that Azerbaijan is a young independent country, which, despite the difficulties, was able to cope with this carrying out the first European Games.

The head of the union noted the highest level of the table tennis competitions.

Cramer expressed his confidence that Azerbaijan will share the experience in organizing the first European games with other countries.

The European Games that kicked off in Baku June 12, will last till June 28.

There is a total of 20 sports at Baku 2015: 16 Olympic sports and four non-Olympic sports.

More than 6,000 athletes from across Europe will be representing their nations over 17 days of Baku was awarded the games by the European Olympic Committees (EOC) in December 2012---
