Two Belarusian beach volleyball pairs to vie for Baku-2015 medals
Two Belarusian women`s pairs will vie for medals in the beach volleyball event in Baku 2015 Games.
Baku 2015 is the first-ever European Games, an exciting and innovative multi-sport event for the continent that will take place on June 12-28, 2015.
The Belarusian team will include Viktoriya Shalayevskaya-Viktoriya Sekretova and Valeriya Babenko-Viktoriya Milevskaya couples.
Beach volleyball teams taking part in the Baku 2015 competition will earn ranking points towards qualification for the Rio 2016 Olympic Games, which will make the competition all the more intense.
A total of 64 duos will compete across the men’s and women’s beach volleyball competitions which take place from June 16-21.
There will be a total of 20 sports at Baku 2015: 16 Olympic sports and four non-Olympic sports. More than 6,000 athletes from across Europe will be representing their nations over 17 days of competition.
Baku was awarded the games by the European Olympic Committees (EOC) in December 2012.
